How Does Learning Happen? 

A professional learning resource for those working in child care and child and family programs. It supports pedagogy and program development in early years settings that is shaped by views about children, the role of educators and families, and the relationships among them.

Early Learning For Every Child Today 

(ELECT)

A Framework for Ontario Early Childhood Settings describes how young children learn and develop, and provides a guide for curriculum in Ontario’s early childhood settings.

This manual provides general information about Ontario’s law governing child care centres: the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014 (CCEYA) and Ontario Regulation 137/15 (General) made under the CCEYA. 

Ministry of Education 

The Ministry of Education (MOE) licenses  Centres For Early Learning under the Child Care and Early Years Act. The Centre is required to meet all the regulations of this Act, including health and fire regulations dictated by the City of Ottawa, the Ontario Fire Marshal, and the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board.

Ottawa Child Care Registry & Waitlist 

Applications will be reviewed in order of the date on the Ottawa Child Care Registry and Waitlist. Applications will be processed internally, giving priority to those children who are registered at STTANS.

e-mail when a space is available.
